Hi,
I have a NEMA-4-4NVR-NS and it is not connected to the internet.
It is at the gate and going there to download video takes hours for 4 hrs of surveillance time for 4 cameras.
First I tried to find a manual for NEMA-4-4NVR-NS as it was not given to us by the installer. I see lots of 'series' manuals, but nothing ties up with NEMA-4-4NVR-NS that I can tell.
So my question is two part.
1) which manual for NEMA-4-4NVR-NS ?
2) is my download speed of ~1,500 KBs normal or what do I have to do to download the video quicker? I'm attaching ethernet cable to a router that is attached to the NVR.
additional info.
Analog cam to convertor to router,
3 IP cams to NVR,
NVR to router.
Thanks a bunch.
I'm an elect tech, but not an IT tech.

Re: downloading from NEMA-4-4NVR-NS
Greetings,
The NEMA-4-4NVR-NS has a NVR-704NS recorder in it. Here is a link to the manual.
http://icrealtime.com/docs/product-manual/Man_NVR708NS.pdf
The time required to download recorded video is going to be related to:
-The upload speed of the recorders connection
-The download speed of the requesting PC
-The file size (determined by video length & encode settings)
Having a gigabit router/switch and using cat6 cable can increase transfer speeds.
Another consideration would be to set up a PC as a FTP server.
Then configure the recorder to transfer the files to the FTP server continuously throughout the day.
Here is a guide on FTP.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I'll give that a go.
Re: downloading from NEMA-4-4NVR-NS
Hooking up a PC as FTP is not an option as the NVR is up at the front gate in an electrical box.
So I can remove the router that is in the current set up (it is TL-WR841N) router, and hook instead a switch such as
TP-Link 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Steel Desktop Switch (TL-SG105) (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A128S24/re ... B0000BVYT3)
and I should get faster downloads? Using Cat 6 cable?
